Global Wire Packer Cups
Wire inserts are used throughout the world. Wires allow for constant expansion and contraction of wires. They are used in washing wells and other applications where constant working of the cup is expected.
Global All Rubber Packer Cups
The all rubber cup is just that, all rubber. The base of the cup uses a reinforced insert much like the inserts used for wire packer cups. The difference being is the all rubber cup has no metal going throughout the cup. The advantage of the all-rubber cup is that this allows it to have more flexibility.
Global Heavy Duty Packer Cups
Double Basket inserts are used throughout the world. They are heat-treated for extra stability. They are designed for heavy-duty applications where high pressures or extreme circumstances require the durability of a double basket cup. Reinforced by a set of double baskets, the Heavy Duty Packer cup is the least flexible of the packer cups, but can also withstand higher-pressure applications. Global Gas Vent Cups
The Gas Vent cup was developed to isolate casing leaks in pumping or injection wells. This cup helps to prevent the trapping of gas by allowing gas to vent to the surface past damaged zones.
ECP Cups
Global Elastomeric Products, Inc.’s casing packer cups are designed as a directional packing element that provides a seal to stop communication from one zone to another. These ECP Packer Cups are a one-piece unit designed for use between casing strings and either welded on or attached with set screws and also referred to as cement point packing cups.
ECP Packer Cups are typically used in low-pressure applications; such as acidizing, steaming, or cementing. The unique one-piece design incorporates a steel bushing with steel spring wires and can be molded with a variety of elastomers depending on the application.
These cups can be run facing up or down, and are attached to the inner casing by welding, with set screws, or threaded to mate with EEE threaded collars.
Global Packer Cup Thimbles
Another very important portion of the packer cup is the use of a thimble. The thimble is used to help reinforce a cup and to help it maintains its form and seal. It is absolutely critical that you have the right thimble for the cup. That is why we recommend that if you use a Global EEE cup, you also use a Global EEE thimble.
Premium casing packer cups take this experience and proven technology and solve many of today’s issues with entry into flush joint / premium casings. Each of our standard packer cups can be modified to assist in running of these premium casings. These cups are designed for use in a single casing weight. They include modifications to the lip and entry angle to assure proper seal, while the modified entry angle assists in stab in.
